Privacy Policy

Last updated: this policy applies to the current version of Kaizen Dictionary.

1. Summary

Kaizen Dictionary does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier, and does not sell data. The words you look up are stored on your own device, not on our servers.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not harvest personal data. There is no sign-up, no profile, no contact list access, and no tracking of you across other websites by us.

3. Local storage and caching

To make the app fast and reduce cost, Kaizen saves your searched words and their explanations in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is never uploaded to us.

You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain. Doing so simply means previously searched words will be fetched fresh again.

4. Word lookups

When a word is not in your local cache, the word and the selected language are sent to our server, which forwards them to an AI language provider to generate the explanation. We do not attach any identifier to that request.

5. Cookies and advertising

Kaizen may display advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Where required by law, ad personalisation is limited and consent is requested through Google's consent mechanisms.

6. Children

Kaizen is intended for high school and college students and general learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page. Continued use of Kaizen after an update means you accept the revised policy.

8. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through our contact page.
